mseq is a playground for experimenting with musical structures on the iPad. Needles turn like clock hands, and circles are sounds. Each time a needle crosses a circle, the circle plays: loud near the tip, quieter towards the pivot. Rhythm and structure come from where you put things and how fast the needles turn, not from a grid.
A circle can hold a sample or a MIDI note. Samples can be any audio file on your iPad. MIDI circles send notes to other applications, to hardware over USB or Bluetooth, and to other devices over a network session. Stoppers deflect or brake the needles, and a generator lays out rings, polygons, spirals and spokes of circles in one gesture.
mseq also runs as an AUv3 plugin inside hosts such as AUM and Logic Pro, both as an instrument that plays its own samples and as a MIDI processor that drives other instruments.
mseq collects no data and makes no network requests of its own. The details are in the privacy policy.
